Wow, what to say that hasn't already been said. I respected the 24 hour rule. Why? Because the laity who despise me and even levied death threats against me and my family were in mourning. That's what a TRUE Christian and Cathoic should do. But no, you had to be assholes; and today is a new day, so let's get to it.

In Acadiana yesterday, it was eerily quiet. I-49 humming along as usual. Most things on the back roads were shut down, little to no traffic in the streets for a busy Monday. I remember this community frequency, like the hurricane is about to hit. You can smell it in the air, the barometric pressure has dropped. There is mourning, but no huge public display of laments, as with the passing of recent pontiffs. At the local feed store, people are in huddles, contemplating the legacy of Francis.

Yesterday, I had a survior, who is clinging to his faith asked "Who is going to be the next pope?" I responded:

"What is the use of electing anyone to be pope if the entire institution is corrupt and compromised? And it is an institution. At this point, a pope is just a figurehead, and refuses to be a functionary, in the pastoral sense of the word. Burn the church? No. Save his bride? I say yes. I don't know your position, but I know religion is a man-made construct. In my mind the Church is not a religion, but is the bride of Jesus, the Son of God, and doesn't require religious compartmentalization; she is perfect as she was delivered, without man's interference. And she is soiled by man's corruption. I believe that if Jesus was here, again, he would not recognize his bride. That's how severely man has raped her. And when she is raped, that's when we and the children are raped, in my humble estimation."

Is it not wildly ironic, that the victims and survivors are more concerned about the health of Jesus' bride, than the "laity" who attack us? The victims and survivors? Fuck you. Yesterday I prayed, at the request of a true laity, the mysterious swamp lady. I prayed and petitioned the Holy Trinity to give Francis a fair shot at his judgement. I know you expected a longer prayer and a 1500 word article, but this is the very best I can do. Because my time, energy, and sanity is worth something, and I will move forward.

Oh, and BTW Greg; you'll never be pope, and I'll see to it. Now have a nice fucking day.
