On 12/3/2024, Lawrence Hecker, an admitted pedophile priest in the Archdiocese of New Orleans pled guilty to all charges against him, and will spend his life in prison. While having additional victims, his most egregious act was strangling a child until he passed out and raped him. The judge previous to Hecker's guilty plea, stalled and delayed Hecker's trial, and eventually recused himself, allowing justice to move swiftly.
