RE: Cease and Desist - Interference in Bankruptcy Proceedings and Perpetuation of Cruelty Toward Child Sex Abuse Survivors

"Archbishop" Aymond,

You are hereby ordered to CEASE AND DESIST your direct and indirect manipulation of the Archdiocese of New Orleans’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including but not limited to:

• Obstructing transparency;

• Withholding institutional records;

• Intimidating or misleading claimants and survivors;

• And attempting to shield the Archdiocese from full financial and moral accountability for decades of institutional child sexual abuse.

Your reckless stewardship of this sacred trust has already wrought incalculable harm. Every maneuver to stall, dilute, or hijack this process to protect the coffers of the Church rather than to provide justice and compensation to its victims, constitutes a continuation of the cruelty and revictimization for which your institution is already infamous.

Let this be absolutely clear: Back off this bankruptcy - or I will do it for you.

If you will not fulfill your moral obligation to the children who were abused under your watch, then I will fulfill my civic duty to ensure justice is carried out. That includes petitioning and urging victims to vote against this shameful proposed settlement.

We will continue to vote it out in the court of law, in the court of public opinion, and at every level of civil society - until the cruelty stops.

This is not a threat.
This is a guarantee.

Govern yourself accordingly.
