"I really truly believe that the new docuseries titled “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV”, clearly exemplifies the way that child actors are pressured, abused and taken advantage of, and apparently Hollywood has learned little since the years when Judy Garland, Natalie Wood, Micky Rooney and so many other child actors were constantly abused belittled and forced into some very dicey and dangerous situations. The mere fact that television producer/director Dan Schneider was known as Nickelodean’s “golden boy”, even though Hollywood was aware of complaints from different actors that he was very difficult, also shows how the industry was willing to overlook his actions" Eduardo De Casas, a Child, Victim, and Survivor Advocate with SNAP told SCSA.
