On 6/30/21, the Board of Directors of SCSA voted unanimously that Mason Spong will ascend to the Chairman of the Board for SCSA. Jillian Coburn will assume Mr. Spong's position on the Board of Directors.

Below are their biographies:

Mason Spong

A retired New Orleans Police detective Lieutenant with 30 years of service. Mason has conducted thousands of criminal investigations, many to include Child Abuse, Sexual Child abuse, and prederatory child abuse by adults. Most recently as an Investigator for the Orleans Parish District Attorney's office, he has conducted investigations of the New Orleans archdiocese, relative to abuse by the catholic clergy. Mason is also a 12 year veteran of the New Orleans District attorney's office.

Jillian Coburn

Jillian Coburn is an entrepreneur, two-time published author, advocate, inventor, outdoorswoman, and mother of three. Jillian Coburn is passionately committed to supporting and elevating women who often have nowhere to turn: women living under the shadow of domestic violence. A survivor herself, Jillian helps other women living with abuse, teaching them how to get out, heal and build a better life. Energetic and involved in speaking, and outreach, Jillian strives women in situations of domestic violence. She also has been working with Boy Scouts of America Victims, Human Trafficking Victims, and those who need to escape, but empower them to pursue the life they’d always imagined. Healing, listening, and providing tools is her expertise. Jillian lives and works in Lago Vista, Texas with her husband and three children.

The votes on both accounts were unanimous, and represent the board's confidence in these two extremely essential members of our organization. Richard Windmann will continue to hold the role of President of SCSA, and will assume the role of Public Information Officer until a replacement is found.
